Your house has never flooded, huh? These and dehumidifiers are hot commodities after a flood.

How do you use it in a flood? Blow water out of your flooded basement?

Attach it to a canoe and wade around Your flooded basement.

If you don't know - just don't say anything.

For the other folks - my neighbor is a carpet cleaner and has a bunch of these 1 HP - borrowed them to dry mine when my hot water heater broke. Life saver.

I assume this is for mitigating water damage/mold prevention drying. Does it have any other use? Also, would this lower power one: Hyper Tough 1/4 HP 2-Speed Household Blower 1000 CFM for $56.57 be enough or is it it worth the extra cost for the one here? For those professionals and/or experienced people in these matter please provide your opinion. Thanks.

I have seen these at the public restrooms several times where there is a lot of foot traffic especially near the sinks to dry off any over splashed water to aid in drying so that they can prevent any slip related falls.

My crawlspace had mold spores and had to be enscapsulated with 10 mil plastic.

My basement had a moldy smell, and I was told that one of the issues was a lack of air circulation. I mean, the only air that got in was when you opened the garage/basement door.

Also, I purchased a cheap dehumidifier that I found on slickdeals for the basement, and I bought a commercial one from Alorair for the crawlspace.

I ran the cheap dehumidifier constantly, and I couldn't believe the amount of water collected.

Now that it's winter, it doesn't collect as much, but my blower runs constantly to keep the air circulation going.

The Alorair runs constantly in the crawlspace, and any water collected runs out the same pipe my air conditioner drains out.

My garage gets pretty wet / slippery in winter with snow being dragged inside on car tires. For those with experience with these blowers, should I get the 2-Speed version for $57 or the 3-Speed version for $87? TiA !

I would get two smaller blower over one large unit. You need at least two to effectively move the air across the basement. I think 1/3 Hp is already plenty for most use.

Thanks! That actually sounds like a better plan (2 smaller ones working together vs 1 bigger one). Repped!
