Fruit of the loom has the tall sizes that tuck in. It pissed me off how short they've started making "regular" white t shirts.

The primary use for most people is to wear them as undershirts and when they are shorter than the dress shirt it really pisses me off.

I had a drawer full of white Hanes shirts and donated them all because they wouldn't stay tucked.

Does anyone have experience with "starter" brand white shirts?

Yes same experience. I picked these up for free from Bobs Stores a few months ago and ended up getting rid of them. They were very short and very cheaply made.
