A drill and a circular saw might be the only two tools that are more useful than this but if you have the first two, this is the obvious third. I love dewalt. You'll want power for this tool but you don't need it as much as other tools. It's more important to keep your blades sharp for this so if you have to buy it Ryobi, that's the fine but for the price, I think this is worth every penny to get one that will last a long time. You will use it way more than you think.

I also don't see $79, and it's not available in stores near me.

If you're considering it at $99, check out the Lowe's version. It's available locally for me and comes with a bag, but with a slightly smaller battery. https://www.lowes.com/pd/DEWALT-2...1002680850

Yeah I guess I have to agree with at the least the drill, but a circular saw is pretty useful too. Anyone that doesn't have one of these should get one if you do any kind of home improvement stuff. It's ridiculous how useful this type of tool is.

$80 is an absolute steal for a tool that has saved my bacon many times. I mis-use the hell out of it and it keeps on ticking but anything that saves me time is a win. Example: Used a semicircle blade to cut out openings in drywall. Hang a full sheet across a door or windows and use this to zip out the opening. No measuring and be error. Absolutely love it.

The Lowes version is DCS356, and the HD version is DCS354. DCS356 is 3-speed/20k rpm, DCS354 is 2-speed/18k rpm. Not sure what else is different.

It looks like the 1.5 Ah battery in the Lowe's DCS356C1 kit doesn't have a charge indicator. Pictures match DeWalt DCB201.
My HD had $99 on the product display, but it rang up at the $79 clearance price advertised online for that store.
