I personally purchased one of these 11 days ago, and price has dropped another $10 since then. I'm really happy with it, I was using a bluetooth speaker before that I was manually pairing with my monitor every time I turned it on. Now I can use the ARC connection which automatically turns the soundbar on whenever I turn on my monitor.
Sound quality is good, I like it a lot more than my JBL Flip, but obviously you aren't going to get amazing quality out of it since it doesn't have a subwoofer.

never buy anything from a brand that randomly generates its name

That has a fakespot rating of F, meaning a lot of the reviews were purchased (ie you get the soundbar for free if you leave a 5 star review).

I think TCL is a more reputable company than 'Goputa'

A $50 soundbar with 2 speakers - claims Dolby Atmos, theater experience and AI capabilities. Gotta for TCL's marketing team.
No sound bar is going to be Atmos compliant, regardless of number of speakers it contains.

Atmos requires speakers placed around the room to be effective.

That's why those $500+ bars with upfiring speakers are just as equally snake oil. Even an expensive Sonos setup will never be true Atmos.

But, at this price point, it's not about that. It's simply about being able to decode Atmos so that the uninformed don't have to scratch their heads wondering why they have no audio output.

Does it have a volume indicator when you connect it to arc. Like a real number not just volume up and volume down

Never own a soundbar, will it 100% work on any HDTV from last few years? Thanks.Hows the bass on this?
2" speaker, physics says No bass. When something says 4" subwoofer or 125 mile TV antenna, physics says no.

That's like asking if Ford and GM are the same.

They're entirely different companies that target the same markets.

Planar speakers would like a word.

They aren't physics-defying, but they can pack a decent amount of bass into quite a tight space.

they have a large moving diaphragm. But even Martin Logan Electos added a real woofer. Open baffle speakers have wave cancelation as they are not infinite baffles. Which planar speakers are you referring to? Not Magnepans. I thought we were discussing 2" drivers. The effective radiation area Sd is smaller than 2". Although a small driver may be able to produce a low frequency, it will not be audible.

It doesn't say a number. I can control it with my samsung remote, and it pops up a little box that says TCL S45H and some other stuff, and indicates that the volume is changing but no # like I get with bluetooth.
I could try connecting it via bluetooth and see if that changes it, but BT adds an audio delay so I wouldn't recommend it.

The bar itself has a LED indicator on the top that starts centered and dim with low volume, and widens as the volume goes up, it's not exactly as useful as having a number displayed on your TV though.

Got It I hate how they don't have numbers indicating exactly the volume. Tried several speakers and seems all have the same design

I got the s4bh last week as a way to improve the sound on a low end Vizio that shoots into a long room that ends in our kitchen. I was skeptical, but it's amazingly better than the Vizio and way louder. We use it with a separate subwoofer, which probably helps. Note that this uses ARC and it worked 100% perfectly the first time with no set up. I don't want to question a good experience and what everyone agrees is drastically-better sound, especially for $65!

How are you using with a separate powered sub, this bar doesn't have a sub output??

That other brand is already insulting you with its name.

I've always been anti sound bar but I am going to go give it a whirl for $65, I have a 43" 4k TCL TV in the bedroom this should play nice with.

Just received this speaker. At this price and for the spare TV in bedroom/basement/kitchen or for the garage it's great. For your main set-up you'll want something else, but that much was obvious. Definitely a buy if you need one.
