Tempting, how is this saw blade compared to Diablo's?

I'm not an expert, but I use a 40T Irwin blade in my 7 1/4" circular saw and like it a lot. I have some Diablo blades that I got in a clearance 2-pack for when the Irwin finally gives up, but so far it has served me very well for occasional use over the last 2-3 years. No burning, binding, or deflection in the construction lumber or plywood I'm typically cutting with it. I even cleanly cut through a 200-year old slab of oak that was about 1 1/8" thick with it.

Would you use a 40 tooth on a table saw? Seems a bit rough for table saw cuts.

Depends on how you use your table saw and if it's a jobsite, hybrid, or cabinet saw.

Are you using a cross-cut sled, or just ripping sheet goods or construction lumber? 40T is an okay count for "rough" finish pieces that don't need to be perfect or will have more sanding or edging added to them. If you go much higher than 60T you have to consider how quickly you can feed your piece as well as how thick it is to prevent binding, scorching, and kickback from filling the gullets as the cut is made.
