I got one of these a long time ago. . . not worth it. It over mixed the batter, but maybe that is on me and it is a bit of a pain to get the mix in the bottle. Now it just takes up shelf space, using a bowl is much easier IMHO.

Mine leaves a ton of inaccessible batter in the container… vs using a bowl with a silicone scraper to get everything into the pan.

Cleaning this thing was the biggest pain in the arse! Ours collects dust now. I'm glad I only paid ~$5 for it. Would not recommend this product to anyone.

TL;DR: Any $$ spent on this is wasted

I have one of these too and similarly, I find these to be quite messy. The biggest drawback for me is that I can't control the output of the batter when I need to squeeze it out. Squeezing is difficult too.

I'm just glad I didn't pay this much when I got it off AE. I've gone back to the spouted bowl and a silicon spatula. Less hassle.

Good in concept but failed in execution. Bought one thinking it would simplify mixing and pouring pancakes. The device leaked from the larger opening making it messy and unusable.

This would probably work great for something like crepes where the batter is thin and well mixed. Pancake batter should be thick and lumpy...I totally understand what the other commenters are saying about this product so I'll pass.

Dang that sucks. I like to leave mine a little chunky as it makes it soft and fluffy.

Purchased Oct 2022 at full price , I've been using it for waffle maker 1" thick. I've experienced leaks at the bottom before I've learned how to use it properly. Don't squeeze too hard and close to the bottom and make sure bottom lid is closed tightly. Used quite thick batter for waffles 2 days ago. Buying another one at half price for camping with kids. Thanks.

This here was my biggest issue. I didn't have issues with the batter coming out, but there was just too much batter wasted for my liking.

I bought this before. Trust me, you're going to want to pass on it.

The idea seems great in theory, but when you actually use it, you realize how much of a pain it is to use. It leaks. The mixing "ball" isn't strong enough to mix thicker pancake batter. Lots of batter is left in a solid state in the vessel as a result no matter how hard you shake. The way you load it was a bit awkward from what I recall. It's so tall that it doesn't fit in my dishwasher, thus cleaning it is an outright nightmare. It's just horrible execution on a great idea.

It's something I used once and never again.

Get yourself a mixing bowl and a whisk, and you'll be far, far happier, trust me.

P.S. I bought this on AliExpress for $4 or $5 a few months ago, so this isn't really a good deal either way.

Junk. I bought one for $10 a year or so back and only used once. Like others said, the batter is too thick and lumpy for the shaker and you waste too much; cleanup sucks too. Stick with the good old bowl and spoon.

I'll add a counterpoint to all the people who don't like it - I use this thing every Saturday. Its terrific for when I make shapes or letters. Ive had it leak, but only when I didn't have the bottom screwed on tightly. The only gripe is as others say, you don't get to use every drop of batter unless you open it up to scrape it, which I don't do.

I have one as well. Not worth it at all unless you are only making a few for one person.

I'm ok on the pancake quality, cleaning is easy enough. Loading flour is hard. I wish it held more batter.

For this price… stakes are low and worth owning.
