This is for your modeler. Behringer makes a really cheap amp sim pedal with balanced out.

Looks like a floor wedge/monitor, not a bass amp. Connections on it indicate the same.

2500 watts? That's enough power to blow out windows for a square mile. Hmmm... How much do I really like my neighbors?

Really good deal on this. This FRFR is better than it seems it would be.

Does this have basic EQ (bass mids-low mids-high treble) like any other bass combo?
Would this sound better than a Fender Rumble 100 with the 12 inch speaker?

No, this is closer to a PA speaker than a guitar/bass amp. Its mean to amplify an already processed sound like coming out of a modeler.

Picked one up even though I just grabbed a Fender Tonemaster last weekend.

No. It's basically a powered speaker for emulators and preamps, etc.

I have the Tonemaster FR12 and am super tempted to grab this! Ive heard mixed reviews and that you can get better quality speakers for less but that is in the context of this at full price and also i think more so for the first gen of these. Seems the mkiis are a lot better?

These are fantastic for powered wedge monitors yes - but they are most commonly used in tandem with "amp simulators and modelers" like Tonex, Quad Cortex, Axe FX, etc, as those don't provide power.
Guarantee that 2500 watts is peak. Prob closer to 1000 watts RMS, which is the "real" operating volume you'll consistently run. I've heard mixed reviews on these things, but even still, $250 for a 1000 watt PA speaker with "flat" response is killer. I've already got a solution that removes my need for this for my amp modelers, but hey, this is still a great deal.

Andertons did a shootout with a number of FRFR cabs the other day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyjrNy8sDhk They also test the volume between them... the wattage numbers are all BS, but most of them get as loud as most guitar combo amps.

To me the Headrush sounds very scooped, but that might work better for bass.

Found a thread on TGP - https://www.thegearpage.net/board...i.2519998/ - apparently they use Alto speaker components in these

I bought one of these as an upgrade to my FRFR-108 a while back. I ended up selling it and sticking with the 108 because the 108 has a good balanced sound for guitar, and the 112 was just too boomy and bassy.

Was this the frfr112 mkii or the first gen mki? I would think the HPF on the mkii would help alleviate the boominess
