Summary:
You can buy Turbotax using the Fidelity link (you don't need to be a customer!), select the desktop software (instructions are in the thread) for $52.50 (Deluxe plus State), and I have a Chase $20 cashback bringing this to $32.50.
Instructions:
- Check your credit company for cashback (Chase is your best bet), activate this and use this credit card for checkout
- Go here [fidelity.com], and click on the 'Visit Turbotax' link
- When you land on the TurboTax landing page - from the Fidelity affiliate link - click "Do it yourself" at the top and then select "Doing taxes with Desktop software." You will then come to a page with the products and their strikethrough pricing options, which will include the Fidelity discount.
- Purchase the product using the credit card with the cashback discount. My cashback is $20, but I'm seeing $5 on some of my other credit cards, so YMMV. I used my Amazon Prime credit card (with the $20 cashback) for the additional 2% cashback.
"Offer expires 4/16/25. Offer valid one time only. Payment must be made directly with the merchant. Offer not valid on TurboTax products purchased through other retailers. Offer not valid on third-party services. Payment must be made on or before offer expiration date. *Must make purchase from turbotax.com/affiliate/chase42."
Edit: 97 down votes. Horrible!! Lol

So, basically, if you can combine Fidelity 25% off and $20 cashback (and so far there is only one post above that confirmed it), that would be the best deal unless Cosctco came up with the better one on January 18
What is the potential Costco Jan 18 deal you speak of?

Of course, the additional cost for e-filing in other states makes it compelling to seek another deal.

It's Chase AND Citi card offers for me, and yes $20 cash back either way.
