Why is the "Made in the USA" phrase being thrown around on these tools?
I know the old Craftsman USA versions had the socket part made in the USA, and the bit part was made overseas. And they mated them together and called them "Made in the USA", and I think kind of got in trouble for saying that. Not sure if that is the case here.
Also, the "Lifetime Warranty" only applies to the socket part. The bit part is considered consumable and not covered under warranty. But it is the bit part that would break, unlikely the socket part would ever fail.
So seems like the "Made in the USA" and "Lifetime Warranty" claims are a bit misleading.
