I've owned a LG C4 42 inch and this monitor. I honestly didn't see a huge difference for text. I actually prefer this to the C4 if I'm being honest. The visibility is much better during the day since the reflections aren't as bad due to the curvature.

I've also owned the VA version of the Odyssey G9. The text is not quite as clear as a VA panel, but it honestly doesn't bother me that much.
