You're confused. these are from Japan. They will likely drop in price as sales volumes go up against China made items, main price impact will be inflation due to the announcement of more billions in donations to the war effort
Why would they lower the price if the volumes go up?

Make less money???

Which is great, if you're near one of these so-called "IKEAS".

I looked them up, and the nearest one is over 3.5 hours away. I'm not traveling SEVEN HOURS + fuel + dealing with nonsense in-store just to save seven cents per battery.
ok, ok...chill out bro. No ones gonna make you.

Good deal! Paid $20 and some change on Dec. 1st. They are made in Japan, as other said Eneloops in the US market are MIJ.

Looking for cheap rechargable AAs prefer Eneloops but other reliable brands would work.

This 10 pack AAA eneloop seems to be a new SKU and all of the reviews written this year seem to confirm they're still made in Japan so I'm going to take a gamble.
I had the original ones by Sanyo. Then I needed more and so I got them and they were nowhere near the same as my 4yrs of old and heavily used Sanyo ones. I later realized the new ones were by Panasonic. I don't know about Japan and China, but I would look at recent reviews and not the reputation ones. Last I checked the Duracell rechargeable ones and eneloop PRO models were better. IKEA was also good to iirc

Factory was sold. Fujitsu owns it now. Eneloop was sold to Panasonic.
Eneloops sold in US comes from that same factory.

Pro is higher capacity but less recharge cycles.
They all come from the same factory.

Ikea comes out to $1.87 each vs. $1.94 on this deal (or less with S&S). But Ikea's is only 750mah vs. this at 850mah.
Who is updooting this lol, eneloop is one of the only things I will shill hard for, comparing these to ikea rechargeable is an insult, especially about saving 7 cents.

I am still using the same eneloop batteries from when they were originally bought for my game boy advance 20 years ago

Aha…so your take away is that fewer competitors results in lower prices? That's rich. Yeah, once we can just get rid of the largest and lowest cost producer of all our crap, the prices will come down. Sigh…

LADDAs from Ikea are also from Japan. What's the insult in comparing them?

Furthermore, who is to say the tariffs won't touch stuff from Japan.

At first it was CHINA only...then Mexico and Canada. What makes you think the LAND OF THE RISING SUN is exempt from regulations?

Sounds like you might be the one confused.
