No one talks about it so I don't think it has...
TBH at this price range we can't have it all and 6-core(8 threads) cpu is rare at $300 specially new it seems? I only see dual & quad cores at this price...perhaps during black friday.
Been looking around for days cuz family kid suddenly wants one for xmas but didn't like the random $300 ($260 with the fake, always clipable coupon) slow laptop her aunt gave him while I was unaware(but he chose it despite not knowing anything about pc) and at this price I rather trade performance for backlit keyboard (Which I never use anyways...typing on pitch black darkness?), the 250nits this have might be fine if you're not on the sun (I don't use close to 200 with my 1000nits monitor at my home).
Perhaps you need more nits and backlit keyboard for work and probably should aim at bigger screen than 14" then but at $300 they all dual-quad cores so you will be throwing performance.
cpu/igpu seems good for 1080p low settings gaming but higher games like open world might need to go 720p low to hit 30-60fps.

AMD pulled a fast one with the naming - this is in reality a Ryzen 3 using the Zen 2 tech from 5 years ago. Every other mobile Ryzen 5 since that time has had 6 cores; this only has 4 and performs no better than a Ryzen 3 or Core i3 from 2021:
I don't know why these "7_20U" CPUs keep popping up on the front page. They're significantly worse than the Ryzen 5 3700U laptops that went for $300 four years ago.
The CPUs that end in "30" are MUCH better. There's a 17" HP for $330.

Few people want entry level...back during the pandemic a 6600 would be $800... now they cant give away entry level..
They're not trying to "give it away", they're trying to trick people. The fact is, real decent Ryzen 3 and 5 laptops that are STILL better than this were in the $300-$400 range four years ago. You shouldn't get a weaker machine in 2025 for $300 than the one you're trying to replace from 2021.
This isn't a real Ryzen 3 or 5 product line. They're Celeron-equivalents badged as if they're not low end.

Amd hid weak chips within the 7xxx line as crap products so it was best to avoid all... the 8xxx line is the comparable to the 12th and 13th gen on intel... except avoid all high end intel 13th and 14th gen as the design is faulty

EDIT: Someone found a better pc at $320 with 10 core cpu but only 8gb ram so you need to spend more for more ram: https://slickdeals.net/f/18030465-lenovo-ideapad-1i-15-6-fhd-ips-touch-i5-1235u-8gb-ddr4-512gb-ssd-319-99?p=175056963#
