I had 1-gigabit internet with Xfi Complete (for unlimited data) for a couple of years and was paying $115/month. I was tired of spending so much, so I called to decrease the plan or find any promotions. I got an upgrade to 2-gigabit with a 2-year contract for $88.
The 2-gigabit plan was not an option online.
Number I called: 1-800-934-6489
(I had to go through many menus to talk to a real person.)
Your mileage and availability may vary.
Note: I understand that I will not even be able to utilize 2-gigabit on most of my devices, but I plan to run some new CAT6 and get a 2.5Gb switch for my primary desktop.

On Thursday though I was able to get the new customer 2 Gig for $80/month with unlimited (no 1.2TB cap) and zero equipment fees by walking into a corporate store and switching the account from my wife's name to mine...chose a 2-year contract term to lock it in. No prospect for fiber at my service address.
Had them throw in a line of Xfinity Mobile for a year for 'free' (you pay ~$2 taxes/fees) as part of the deal, but the rep says you can drop it after 90 days.
Monthly bill would've jumped $25 without the account switch to be considered a 'new' customer.

However I just put it in bridge mode and use my own stuff. Also, open up the modem case and disconnect the WiFi antennas, because there's no way to disable the WiFi even in bridge mode.
Using it for WFH with zoom connected all day, gaming, including FPS, and have not had any issues. Unloaded and loaded latency was even lower than my comcast during the trial.
Just understand that coverage varies by location and the amount of people using it in the area. I've had it for over a year and it's only gotten faster.
I was very skeptical of 5G home wireless until I tried it myself. Doesn't hurt to try if its available in your area.

I just called and they offered me nothing. I'm going to try to go into the physical Xfinity store later today.
