Returned mine to the store due to bad battery few months ago when this deal came up. Tried jump starting it from the youtube instructions but didn't work.

I have the non-brushless, and it was a waste of money. The pressure struggled with getting dried mud off of curb and gutter. I have only bought two tools from Ryobi that, IMHO, are not worth buying and these squirt guns fall under that category for me.
The brushless may be better, though. Go for it if you're looking for something small and lightly powered. Mine does do well for little jobs like car washes

Just a heads up regarding this deal and their customer support on that highly likely bad 2ah battery. I have the 300 psi 18v, the 600 18v and the 600 40v. Prior, I already had the 600 18v and I think it does a great job with something like washing a car. Got the $30 deal on the 300 18v version to have for really small jobs but haven't used it yet. Got my 40v version on this same deal back in November to see if it was better than the 600 18v and, like mentioned, battery was dead out of the box. I immediately filed a Rapid Repair request with Ryobi and it took about a full month to get a replacement battery which was, also, dead out of the box. Then they wanted to send me a replacement charger to "test" if it was the issue so I had to wait another 2 weeks for that. After multiple attempts to tell them that I had tried multiple 40v chargers and that they were fine with my other 40v batteries and that this battery also would not light up a status, they finally agree the battery is bad and want me to start the entire Rapid Repair process over from the beginning now so, I'm going on 2 months now without a working replacement battery. I tried to escalate my ticket but that was completely futile. So I've sent my battery in again and I'm still looking at another 2-3 weeks to get my second replacement in so, I'll have 3 months overall to get a working battery, assuming the one I get works. Not in any way saying this isn't a good deal or not to get it, just saying be aware that, for some people, getting the battery replaced can be a huge headache.

You used to be able to reset the 40V battery's BMS when they appeared dead, but the recent revision of the board on the newer 40V battery doesn't have the reset pads and will need to be RMA'd.

This is why it may be better to just go buy another tool same or different and swap the batteries and take back to the store. It all lands back at Ryobi to decide what to do with defective stuff.

That stinks you had to jump through so many hoops. I had the same battery problem with the previous deal. I sent the old one in and got a new one within a few days. The battery wasn't "new" but it works fine. All in all I think I was worth the $50 or whatever. Your experience, it might not be though.

BTW - The tool itself works great for getting mold and dirt off of vinyl siding.
