I've had great experiences. If I was using these tools every day as a contractor I would definitely choose a different brand but for the casual homeowner definitely worthwhile brand.
Bought one for $40 last year online. It's alright. It wasn't strong enough to use in the house, so I ended up making it my gym/garage vacuum. Don't expect too much out of it, or it'll disappoint you

Hart is actually pretty solid. I own many Hart, Milwaukee, Dewalt, and Craftsman. For the price you pay, Hart is an amazing brand for homeowners and the average consumer. If you're not a contractor building homes, Hart tools can pretty much handle any typical job of an average homeowner.
My battery operated portable air compressor made by made is probably my most used tool of all!
It is made by the same company that makes Milwaukee, ryobi and ridgid tools.
Do you have any experience with Hart or just bias?
If I was to choose a household cordless tool line it would be Hart. They're made by TTI like Ryobi but unencumbered by product restrictions due to legal reasons per my understanding, so they can make a wider and more fun variety of products.

comment from someone who paid only $40. killed this deal. will wait for it at $35 then
We needed to replace our old cordless vac and at this price point, it was hard to pass up. Most of our home is hardwood with only the rooms having carpet. We also have a Golden retriever that sheds like no ones business. It has surpassed our expectations. The dust bin is a good size. Thinking about picking up a 2nd just for the battery.
Cordless is always a bad idea. The battery dies and you have to buy a whole new unit. Replacement batteries cost the same as the unit. Cordless motors are also weaker. Why fill up land fills?

Cordless for convenient. It beats bending down to get pieces of dirt, small little job, YES!

This uses the detachable style battery like cordless power tools. If the battery dies, you only need a new battery, not a new vacuum. Hart has a three year warranty on its batteries, so this vacuum should be good for quite a while.

This uses externally mounted batteries that just clip on to the back of the vacuum cleaner. If you have multiple HART 20v batteries (like if you have a drill, blower, or other HART 20v tool), you can have a fresh one on the charger, or otherwise fully charged, pop off the drained one from the vacuum, and pop in a fresh one and get right back to business.
