You are mistaking the intent of the purchasers of these knives. These are intended to be safely tucked away and held in reserve for the SHTF day when civilization collapses and the knife collecting prepper can trade one of these beauties and a 5 gallon bucket of freeze dried chili for the nubile daughter of his starving neighbor.

I love benchmade's, but they can go pound sand with their ridiculous pricing.

I used to buy expensive EDC knives, but found that I was always afraid to lose or damage them, so I would never carry them. I bought a Firebird Gonzo and never looked back. $15, cuts my cardboard boxes fine, holds an edge well and I didn't care if I bang it around or lose it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BTHSVHRV

My everyday carry is a Benchmade Barrage 580 and I love it! I picked it up on Ebay open box for $150. It's an in between range where I'm not afraid to use it, but I'm going to try not to blatantly abuse it either.

Unfortunately that model isn't valid for this coupon code - it's listed for $190.

Yep. If it truly were a slickdeal, there would be prices with exclamation points. LOL

Not bad. Mini Bugout on the way. My first Benchmade. Figured I'd never bother but what the hell. Will probably go into my knife display safe with the rest of my precious blades and I'll keep carrying my Emerson Kershaws and $10 D2 walmart blades.

Good find though, OP!

Yeah 35% off something that is marked up 350% beyond it's appropriate $/value ratio

Yes when your 300% marked up "life sharp" warranty will be pointless and you could have had 10 more knives for you and your hoard instead of 1 expensive knife to defend from the zombies ...

BTE these prices are 10% higher than the MSRP is on the knives, so it's not really a 35% discount. Example, Bugout is $180 and theirs is listed for $198..

Overpriced these days. That being said I have a hard time paying super high prices for a non auto bench made. They make the best auto system I've had and have a great warranty. The one button shoot open is hard to give up.

Edit: getting downvoted by auto haters… I guess

Depending on the version. 535BK-08 MSRP is $200 on Benchmade's website, and 535-12 is $190. $180 is for the run of the mill blue version.
