Interested to know more about it as well. I can't find any review from sources i am familiar with. Can't believe this is such a small niche product
I wonder if price is a factor. If people pay $100+ for it, they may expect a lot more than for $40

The buds are bulky and it can be tricky to get the right fit. It took a few tries but once I found the right combination of silicone ear tips and wings, I grew to really like them and do not notice the earbuds when wearing them. That said, I can say that the fit will not be for everyone and if you are someone who is constantly running into issues finding earbuds that fit well and seal to make sure you get the best audio, these might not be for you.
I typically use these for indoor rowing, running, stationary and mountain biking, and walking. In the year i have had them I have not had any dropout issues using them with my 14 Pro Max iPhone. Overall, I get really good battery life compared to other buds I have tried and I have not any any issues with the buds falling out in motion. Regarding the sound, I listen to a combination of music and podcasts. I would say the sound is above average and definitely better than what you would normally find in this price range. I will say that these are not for people who need a lot of bass or need audiophile quality sound but I do not have any complaints for my needs. One bonus is the app does off some decent presets along with a 5 bar equalizer to use to mix the sound to try to find a balance that works for you.
The case is good and has survived a handful of drops without issue. It does not have a magnetic clasp or seal but stays closed well in a backpack or bag. However, the case is large so you probably won't be putting it in your pocket to carry around. Also, since there is not a magnetic seal on the case, dropping the case on a hard surface will typically result in the earbuds falling out.
I might have felt differently if I had paid the original $200 asking price for these, but at $40 I thought they were a steal and I am thinking about buying another pair.
That said, I'm buying them because I've killed 3 pairs of wireless headphones with rain and sweat in the last 4 months. Assuming Yamaha wouldn't fake their IP rating and the 7 means something. These are a bit larger than most earbuds and do rely on the hook part to hold it in your ear; that has seemed okay but I'd say more biking or exercise machine. But maybe watch out for running.
