Got the 55" for my bedroom on Black Friday for $200. Much better overall colors than my entry level Vizio. The xumo tv is pretty slow, but since I use firetv it doesn't matter much to me.

According to multiple reviews on the Best Buy site, it defaults to the Home Screen at power up. Even when not connected to the internet, you have to select an input at startup. That is a deal breaker for me given how poor the OS appears to be.

Had this 50 inch TV for over a year. The picture quality cannot match top tier TVs but it is fine for what it is considering its budget price.

I can confirm that the TV cannot go straight to inputs. It always goes to Home screen first.

Yup, there's a setting for priority input. Plus you can use the firetv remote to turn on both the tv and firetv
