Motion activated is actually very useful when cooking, except in the rare instance that it turns on at the wrong time.

We love ours.... You can turn it off. It also turns itself off after so many seconds, to minimize wasted water.

i started using them since i first experienced it in the hospital.
i started with the FLOW, and later on upgraded to the pull spring ones for the looks.
neither of them have major issues for the 5 years i used it. but here are few things to keep in mind:
1. the material used aren't what you come to expect for a 300 dollar MSRP. if you use to kohler or something like that, be prepared to be disappointed big time.
2. the water line is downgraded on the pull spring ones vs the flow version. the flow version had steel braided hose and the pull spring ones is just hose. i do think this is a big issue in the long term because the pulling motion will kink the hose.
3. while you can turn off the motion activation by turning the switch on the controller box, don't. the manual specifically said do not use manual mode for long period of time. this is because the entire control box is plastic, and the hose out of the controller box isn't pressure rated (not steel braided). normally the on/off switch is at the inlet of the control box so the box and the line after the box isn't subjected to main pressure, turning it in manual mode means the entire box and the line after it is subjected to the main pressure. doing it for long period of time is a disaster in making.

On most, it can be turned off. It's a very limited range from the sensor that activates the faucet. So rarely would it ever turn on falsely, at least in my experience. Extremely helpful when you have dirty hands. I don't have this specific model but my friend has one by flow very similar and everytime I use it I never have an issue.

Yes you can. There is a knob on the "black box" you turn to switch to regular function.

My flow motion activated faucet stopped working about a year ago. The faucet works but the sensor doesn't activate any more. I still have it but I miss only having to wave in front of the sensor to turn it on. I changed the batteries and made sure the sensor was clear and clean. Does anyone have any advice or experience with this issue?

I got used to a motion activated faucet and then moved to a house without one. I miss it. The best part is being able to "set and forget" the water temp and always turn it on at the same position. You do get unintended activations sometimes (for example when you drain pansta the steam can activate it and douse the pasta, lol) but overall it was worth it to me.

I've had this exact model for 4 years now, no issues. Love the motion sensing feature, but it takes time to get used to. The handle is always in the on position until it senses no motion.

This is such a game changer, especially when you're cooking and don't want to touch the handle with your soiled hands. Had ours for about 5 years now!

I have had this faucet for over 4 years. It has been a game changer. Batteries last a long time, and the motion detector works great. One feature that isn't mentioned and is puts it over the top is that it activates when you pull the head out, and then shuts off when it retracts. Highly recommend and at this price it's a no brainer.

I had this installed in my last house and just moved a few weeks ago. I still find myself trying to use the sensor to turn on the faucet. I am absolutely ordering another one. I never changed the batteries in the 3 years I had it.

I own this, it's amazing. The motion is very good. Takes about2-3 days to get used to it and then you can't understand why all faucets don't have it.

Maybe the internals are different, but they don't appear to be.

I have a couple of the original FLOWs, and the spray function atomizes the water and creates a mess of water droplets everywhere, so I never use it. Did any of the later versions like the 770 or X improve the spray function?

Came here looking for this comment. Mine just stopped working last week. Same as you , new battery and works manually. I haven't troubleshoot it yet. Mine is a Delta (I think,l and has lifetime warranty).

I had a similar issue two years ago and I forgot how I fixed it or if it just started working again.

When I change the battery it goes throug it's auto calibration and it'll actually turn on and off a few times on its own so I think it's just the sensor that's acting up
