there are many more comparable options when it comes to EV. Chevy Equinox being one that is also very well priced.

The most common "gotchas" dealers will try to pull is tacking on bogus scam fees, and marking up the money factor (i.e. the interest rate on leases). The advertised specials are usually based on a tier 1 credit rating through the manufacturer's financing arm. Even if your credit rating is super prime and you qualify for tier 1, finance managers will often either try to mark up the money factor outright, or try to finance it through a third party bank they get kick backs from. If you have poor or middling credit you won't qualify for this payment. You can find the real money factor rates this special is based on on Edmund's manufacturer specific forums (VW in this case).
The only fees you should pay are the acquisition fee (which is baked into the $1000 down payment), emission fee if you're in a hippie state, and most dealers are hardline non-negotiable on their "Doc Fee", which is usually around $500. The destination fee is always built into the MSRP sticker price of the vehicle. Some dealers try to tack on a second destination fee, prep fee, market adjustment fee, advertising fees, or install bogus accessories like tire or door guard protection. Those are all sucker scams and if they won't remove them you don't want to do business with them.
Charge at home and very efficient on city roads with regenerative braking.
But Hyundai, Kia, Ford, GM, Honda in the US market make better EVs for lower price for similar class vehicles. Volvo, BMW, Cadillac, Rivian, etc make better or comparable EVs in the higher segment. In European and Asian markers too it's the same story.
But people will continue to harp to get a Tesla because of ignorance.

Though there may be some deal with EA providing free 30-min charges for a set number of visits. I'm not sure about this.

Buying any used car is, on the surface, acquiring other owner's problem. It the buyer's responsibility to have it inspected before buying. Good used car does exist but gotta research and hunt.
Don't matter if it a Toyota. Maintenance negligence and unreported rust, flood, collision or accident are real.
Used car is NOT the same as NEW. It is in fact incomparable.
EV? No comment. I don't own one.
