i have the 2023 i'd.4 on a lease and can honestly say i'm counting down the days until this car goes back

one of the worst cars i've ever owned, technology is very poorly designed and frustrating, countless recalls and range is mediocre at best.

there are many more comparable options when it comes to EV. Chevy Equinox being one that is also very well priced.

My personal opinion would be to get him a used car if he or she a new driver. Cheaper insurance and less fear of damage. Damaging a leased car is going to be costly. Not meaning to offend or anything, just providing my own experience as an ex-college student.

Might want to consider a used EV instead. Model year 23 one owner vehicles under 25k should qualify for an additional 4k discount. the lease deal looks to be 10k per year for mileage. Prices exclude taxes and fees. I have an id 4. Can't say I would recommend it

Just test drove the ID.4 and holy smokes what a disappointment, especially from a German car maker. It feels like a first wave electrical car rather than the nicer second wave of EVs the rest of the market produced. All other EVs I test drove (Chevy Equinox, Chevy Blazer, KIA EV6) were much nicer. The ID.4 had a cheap feel to it, it was making noises coming from the plastic in the dashboard where the screen is attached. The driver screen is miniature. The software feels like an intern project with no animations, odd color choices, strange picture background and no intuitive controls. The regenerative breaking does not work well, it basically only has one level that's very light. The cameras were all very poor and the angels odd. Even the windshield had some bending it it that distorted the view on the right side. This was not even the base but the pro model. Cannot recommend.

Yes because, in a blue state they give you a free, paid for by our taxes, gas driven generator to put in the trunk. That's only if you can't charge the battery at a coal fueled electric charging station....

This is a pretty uninformed opinion. The car was refreshed in 2024 and they got rid of a lot of the complaints of previous versions.

Good deal considering that VW includes a 4 year warranty with 2 years of scheduled maintenance with the car. Much better than the 24-month warranty VW used in the 2000s. Shouldn't need any additional repair cost given the warranty lasts longer than the lease.

There are very long lists of features that a 2 year old Tesla has received since it was first sold. This is always the case. It's one of their selling points. But if none of that compares to the importance of integrating with your favorite cell phone company, then it's clearly not for you.
