When adding the phone it pops up promo for existing customers but it allowed me to go through checkout as guest or logged in to my account. Automatically unlocks 60 days after activation

Sim is registered to phone IMEI, that's why swapping sims causes issues.
If you want to activate on different Tracfone brand it's best to call support and have them rebrand the phone so it gets registered in the system correctly.
FYI - you will lose the ST plan since it won't transfer and you will need to add a TF plan to activate/qualify for unlock. I usually just use the 30 day plan & wait out the additional month & then activate on TF with a new BYOP sim.

Does the Bronze plan come with a SIM card? Don't see any mention of SIM card when trying to checkout.

one is from walmart and one is from straight talk; the one at walmart doesn't ask any questions about new or existing customer.

All phones come with a sim which is linked to phone IMEI.

So if I buy 30 days of service, I can let the service lapse after that and the phone will still unlock on day 60/61?

Or does it have to be 60 days of active service for the phone to auto unlock?

I placed an order in the morning and haven't received any order email from them after 15 hours. My credit card was charged immediately when order was placed. I created an account during checkout process so I tried to log into my account and it prompted me to verify my email by sending a 6 digits code. However, I never receive the code in my email; it's not in the spam folder either. Will call customer service tomorrow to sort out.
