Annie's has been working to address the presence of phthalates in their products, including their mac and cheese products. However, as of the latest reports, their products still contain trace amounts of phthalates. The company has assured that any trace of phthalates in their mac and cheese products, including the four cheese pasta, falls below the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) standard of 0.05 mg/kg of body weight. Nonetheless, Annie's is collaborating with suppliers to eliminate phthalates from their food processing equipment.
