This is terrible! This thing weighs a ton! It feels like solid steal, completely unyielding, pressure sucks even when removing the regulator, and you definitely don't want to drop it on you feet! I returned it after 3 days! I I wouldn't want this for free.

really, it is THAT heavy! shockingly so.

do you really need a warranty on a $40 showerhead

The design looks interesting but the demo video show weak water stream.
It's also missing the focused concentrated spray mode which is beneficial and needed. Like Moen deal but pass on this one. Cost don't mean much if it's doesn't work like the way you want it to.

I asked it for both. This is what it said about the $40 one: Moen does not recommend removing the flow restrictor from this handshower, as it has been designed and tested for optimal performance with the restrictor in place.

Having learned that I don't think I'd want to try unless it's been proven to work well without one if it can be removed which isn't clear to me.

I also asked what type of metal this was and it was unsure. It looks like plastic chrome plated to me. And both being less than 2 GPM stock I think I'll pass on both
The mfr always "recommends" not removing the flow restrictor but IMO these are all unusable (esp for my wife with long hair) as-is. It's never been very hard to remove the restrictor from any of the Delta or Moen ones I've done so far.

Maybe some people want metal, but we have water with a bunch of minerals in it and metal is a disaster unless it's properly coated. The plastic is much better and if it drops on you for whatever reason, the metal is going to hurt like hell while the plastic probably won't. Give me plastic all day in the shower.

How is this one on Amazon with a lot of reviews?

We have the Moen Engage Magnetix and it's great once you remove the restrictor (very easy and can be done with just a pair of needlenose pliers). My wife prefers the magnetic over the slide-in kind like you posted because she is shorter and the magnetic one you just have to get near it, not slide it in over the top. Ours is about $50 and has the push button to change modes. I really like it. The modes are logical with 2 shower settings, 2 fairly hard sprayer settings and I think 2 others that I don't really use (massage probably). It's plastic so it's nice and light and doesn't hurt anything if dropped, it's easy to clean and doesn't crust up on the outside for people with harder water.

If your budget is less, this Moen Magnetix at around $25 has really good reviews and looks very similar. I actually wish listed it for whenever we replace our downstairs shower head (only gets used by the rare guest).

Many morons have magnetic heads. In no way are they similar just because of this feature.
This listing is for a Moen with the Magnetix docking system. If the person has a similar Moen, it likely has the Magnetix system as well (like our 5yr old one). It's the EXACT same system.
So not only are they similar, they are identical. You can unscrew the hose portion and dock a different head to the magnetic base.

I have a moen with the large fixed head and smaller magnet type like this. The magnetic head stays on fine. Even if I aim the fixture down and the wall pushes against magnetic head's hose, it still stays on. However, I can aim it too low wherein the magnetic head loses contact. YMMV.
In 5+ years I've never accidentally knocked the shower head off the Magnetix mount, it is quite powerful. You'd have to hit it REALLY hard to knock it off the base.

About the only complaint is that the angle of my shower wasn't great for this and even at the lowest tilt it would spray the back of the shower. Easy fix if you add a tilted coupler though. Never had an issue again.
Just Google shower connector ball joint or elbow adapter.

I would agree but not for this model. I did knock it off accidentally all the time, again because of the unusual weight

You're very confused lol. Delta will last 15 yrs of abuse in student housing.
I had fewer problems with Moen than Delta, and that is my fair, honest, and unbiased experience. It's a free market and anyone can buy whatever brand they prefer. Please do not attack others who prefer a specific brand of faucet or showerhead.

Does anyone know what the main differences between these two?
This one hit front-page on SD too and similarly priced, however the N400H0CH has a much higher regular price so I'm wondering in what ways is it better?

I used to love meh. Then they sold recalled energy drinks that contained lead. Lost me forever.
