Too much for a 3 generation back watch. $350-500 is about the expected range at this point (depending on the version, meaning whether it's solar, sapphire, etc.)

I have been Garmin watch hunting for a while now. Still back at Square 1. What would be your suggestion. I do light exercise, cycling. I have been using a miband 4 and think I am due for an upgrade.

They all will cover that so I'd just get whatever looks nice in your budget. Just stay away from the Lily line because my wife went through 3 and did nothing much with them (Garmin replaced each, great service, but at that point she didn't want to deal with it anymore). The Forerunner and Instinct lines are lighter weight and much cheaper than the Fenix, so I'd probably suggest one of those.

I've had a Fenix 3 Sapphire (for about 3 years) and a Fenix 5x Sapphire (for another three years). Fenix line is great, and I expect will surely do what you want with biking (I mostly run with it so can't tell you for certain). The Fenix 7x is big (better if your eyes aren't great) and heavy (probably bad if you spend $ for titanium fasteners to shave a couple of grams off your bike's weight). Some variants (but not this one from the deal) have a *sapphire* solar screen. Consider springing for this if you want a pristine screen after a few years of use. I did multiple Tough Mudders and Spartans and never managed to scuff the sapphire screen.

Where have you seen that? That's a great deal
