I think you're just providing the spec to be helpful but for others who interpret this as "VA PANEL = BAD, IPS PANEL = GOOD" it's important to note that that is just a general rule of thumb. There are edge cases such as this one, which uses miniLED to light up behind the VA panel, which you need to judge the effect of with your own eyes. In many reviews when people have used the AOC miniLED VA panel 27" and compared it side-by-side with competing IPS panels such as LG Ultragear, the AOC VA panel was superior in almost every category of gaming and productivity. So I would caution people to read reviews and if all else fails, go to a microcenter or whatever and judge for yourself with your own eyes.

Agreed. At $199 I'll bite. And yes, I know exactly what this monitor is and what mini LED means. I've been eyeing it for over a year now.

You might be waiting a long time for that price... Searching for this model on Slickdeals shows it's never been under $250.

I saw this on Ali express briefly for 205 but it is not longer available. Hoping some US vendors will offer a similar price but it's looking unlikely

Rtings gave this 8.2 for gaming and 7.7 for office. It's pretty good for what it is. I do not have this monitor but I have another AOC monitor with mini led. Mini led is the way to go for brightness at high and low external lighting

I just picked up one of these, I really like it . I don't have much experience with monitors I'm more of a TV guy so my C1 does any heavy lifting, but this looks great when I'm gaming and working. Really pleased with it and paid 280

I missed the pre-Christmas sale and was waiting for it to drop again. At this price point, there's nothing that comes close to its performance. To get similar or better, you're looking at $300+ and won't do 180Hz. The closest to this seems like the Acer Nitro XV275U P3 (170Hz / $300).

this is a good monitor. I have some an older dell S2419HGF monitor and this AOC blows it out of the water. I have both side by side and I hate looking at this dell. the colors are completely off and contrast sucks. dell has no details when there's contrast on a website or a dark video game like POE2. I might pull a trigger on this AOC. I bought my first one last March for 279. $30 off discount is pushing me to pull the trigger.

You don't have to be nice to the guy, VA is in the title - he's just trolling.

To add to your note, it also depends on what matters to you in image quality. Contrast is king to my eyes, so IPS panels look like gray garbage.

So what? It's a better VA panel than the super budget gaming monitors
