Ha! It's the same with my two dogs (Hungarian pulis), one black and one white. My black shirts are covered in white hair, my white shirts are covered in black hair .... and only recently did I realize that they're actually covered in hair from both, I just can't see the black-on-black and white-on-white.

The other (less magnificent) cat I generously permit to live with me is calico. White, black, and orange all in one.

Strangely, her shedded fur always looks grey....
