I manager a deposit at a big bank and we have offers like this all the time but to answer your question, we do NOT accept transfers (brokerage, wireless, or any other). a direct deposit has a certain transaction code and that's how we track it. can't speak for us bank but they likely do the same.

I did this at the beginning of the year and got my $450 shortly. However the bank services itself are lacking. I could only transfer out $1500 per transaction and $3000 each week. I called to ask what I can do to change the transfer limits and customer service could not answer me and I couldn't find an answer on their website. I tried to open a Smartly Savings account hoping that would help, and I was rejected because they said they couldn't verify my identity. Hello?? I already have a checking account! After several weeks of transfers, I am keeping only $1500 balance to waive the monthly fees and contemplating closing the account.

Good. I have filed a good number of complaints against businesses the last 20 years even one where the state recommended I file a lawsuit. Every single time, nothing has ever come out of anything.

Their reps are friendly but lacking of knowledge. They didn't know a lot of things. I had to call 4 times to get my frozen account unlocked.

Opened the checking account in Feb this year. Transfer from paypal is counted as direct deposit. Received my $450 today in the morning. If you got couple thousand bucks then transfer back and forth between paypal and US bank. Bonus $450 gets deposited one day after hitting the 8k mark. Goodluck

I opened my USBank checking account in Sept last year and got the $450 bonus in October without problems. Have done several credit card sign up deals with them and got the bonuses promptly. I must be lucky Big Grin

US Bank was the only bank where they failed to give me my $450 bonus. I saw their promotion online and clicked the link to open the account with the promo. I completed all the transactions and qualiified. But they did not give me the bonus and said the promo was only for targeted customers. To qualify, I would have needed a special code. I put in the code that was online and they said that code was supposed to be for customers in their Target database.

The rest of this e-mail did seem personally written, not a copy & paste like all the other replies I got. Twice they told me the SB had already been credited, then that I didn't follow the terms, twice closed the ticket with no reply. I just kept politely going back at them with facts and screenshots.
