That's literally all metal cans whether soup or soda or anything it's not brand specific all metal cans are lined with plastic. The only way you can be sure your cans aren't lined with plastic if is anything you put in them tastes metallic.

Safeway also has them buy 2 (at $5 each) and get 4 free of ALL flavors. The insult of charging $5 for 1 can is nearly enough to make me skip the deal, but 6 cans for $10 ... reasonable.

Bought 10+ recently from my local grocery. Now regretting - not because of price, in fact, it was about the same as this deal, but because of the problem with BPA, after I've done an extensive review on health impact of BPA.

For many years, Progresso has promised to get rid of BPA, but hasn't got anything done. Won't buy any Progresso products for a very long time, or ever.

Cans, such as Progressos, are especially problematic, due to its long shell life (erroneously considered as "safe" by consumers) and BPA leaching induced by strong acidity and fatty contents of foods and acidity of many common food preservatives.

You forgot to look at the amazing amount of SALT in each "serving". Not good, but, seems most canned goods are way too salty.

These are almost always $1.50-1.75 a can at Fred Meyer for any flavor. Sometimes even better when they send you coupons or have good sales. If you don't live near stores that normally have these low priced this isn't a bad deal though.

Canned is going to have bpa or equivalent, all canned food. Just don't get canned tomatos and move on with your life. It bothered me too for a bit, but unless you eat canned soup every meal of the day the actual tangible impact on your life isn't really worth the anxiety. Just breathing is killing you faster.

doesn't this give you 6 cans at $10, not 8? Not that $1.67 is not also a deal, but not as good as if 8/$10 -- $1.25
