Had to relog in to see credit. The $5 gets you about 1GB.

Posting that you can get "free $5" credit is rather pointless without posting what it gets you (rates, validity period, etc.).

I'm not going to install an app just to find out.

posting this will ruin the deal pretty quick, I've been able to exploit it for a while and you get like 3 hrs of steaming hotspot which is close to 2.5gb. it will notice your device after so many uses if you don't erase cookies or use different device/browser. I was going back to back setting up accounts with a phone and now that phone only gets error 500 code even trying to use different browser. so I changed device.
Good/fast service overall why would they let you try for free if it wads bad they want you to top up... keep in mind using the free service you can't pick the country sim it gives you so you will notice YouTube videos in Italian or Russian and can't do most survey sites. Its around $2-3 per gb depending on the country you choose. Promo will die soon the company doesn't want people using burner emails and not paying

Thanks OP, this eSIM.io free credit worked for me.
However, I just found that this eSIM.io, as well as instabridge(which also worked for me and gave me 5GB/month free), both connected to the ISP in Warsaw, Poland(both eSIM.io and instabridge use Verizon network in US, but I used IP location website to find out where I was connected through their networks). Because of this, some apps couldn't work, for example, McDonlad's app when I wanted to order online; Exxon Mobile app when I wanted to pay at the pump... I believe these apps identified that my connected IP address is not in US, so they failed to load the pages.... Most other apps have been working well for me, like Google voice, Google maps, Apple maps, etc... There is an easy fix for apps like McDonlad's is to use VPN forcing the app to think the location is in US not Poland(I did try and confirm working with Windscribe VPN), assuming you have VPN service. Well it's free mobile service, I can't complain.
How are you getting 5GB/month free from Instabridge?

by installing and using two apps from Instabridge: Instabridge + Web.
Use "Instabridge" to add eSIM, and set "Web" as your default browser and use it.

Arialo is too expensive, I like using mobimatter, gomoworld, or klook (had lots of great service in Asian countries)
Do you know what IP range when it's connected to the network when using mobimatter/gomoworld/klook? You can tell it by accessing iplocation.net.
When I used Instabridge or this eSIM.io, the IP was in the "Poland" range, so it cost some apps didn't work in US. (I believe it could also be an issue if I use the eSIM card in Asia or Australia, some location-dependant apps won't work well...).
I assumed when I used their "US" eSIM(not the "Global" eSIM), and when I connected to the network via Verizon(the provider the phone showed using), I should have got an "US" IP address, but I was wrong about it.

There is a discussion here: https://www.reddit.com/r/NoContra...providers/, talking about IP location in Poland(for Dent), Israeli(for Airalo) even the user was in US, using US-specific plan through US networks...

Keepgo tells "Privacy IP Location" for their eSIM cards: https://www.keepgo.com/collection...ted-states.
An eSIM's privacy IP location can vary depending on the eSIM provider and the user's data plan:
Keepgo offers a Residential Privacy IP address that hides the user's real IP location. The IP address can be from countries like the USA, France, or Hong Kong, depending on the plan. Users can find their IP address information in their account on the Keepgo website.

To be fair, this is an intl esim. When using airalo esims for the eu a London based ip is common. I wouldnt expect a us based ip from these fly-by-night esim providers.

Right. I just wanted to let people know, when we can use the mobile service free like these, we should understand their limitation.

Can I just keep registering new accounts when I run out of data for esim.io and instabridge?

checked and found esim.io is only good for data roaming. You will not get a new number, either you cannot make or receive calls or text when roaming. Not very useful especially in China where you do need a Chinese cell number in order to do anything. Additionally, no $5 credit unless you charge $20.

I'm also trying to figure this out. There's a app called Firsty that gives ad-supported, throttled international data for essential apps and it's free. I've used it for google voice, email and uber without issue.
