YMMV my local Walmart is a effing B when it comes to returns for some reason they don't accept returns only exchanges when it comes to their Hart and Hypertough products which is stupid because those are house brands. Anyways even if they are new and not open, they won't refund your money they'll only exchange but if I just drive to any other location other than my hometown store they'll refund it no questions asked I'd understand if it was an Atlanta or high population Walmart but nope my town only has like 8k people.

Pretty steep discount but also a no name brand. Does this thing suck? 3.8 stars on the reviews

I going to give it a try. Walmart has one of the best return policies and I think it's till April if you buy now. You can test for a few months and return it if it's not working. Otherwise keep it.

I would not try it. It's like a 90% chance it'll have issues in 1-2 years.

Too bad they used icons on their controls instead of clear labels.

That is the cheapest air fryer I ever heard ! For that price it is almost disposable oven ! If it goes bad in a year then time for another one !

While I agree on the no name company... Of you read through the reviews, the majority of bad ones are based on shipping damage, different sellers and people who have no idea how to use an air fryer.

Kalorik products are junk. All problematic. Better to donate to me for saving you frustration.

I saw these at Kohls too. They look pretty gimmicky but kind of cool.

My thoughts as well. More garbage for the landfill.

I think these companies are trying to unload their crappy China made products at deep discounts before tariffs are reinstalled.

I'd rather pay more for quality USA made stuff that I only need to buy once or twice in my lifetime.

Disagree.

I have had their MAXX air fryer (26qt) for over 3 years.
The fan recently went, but probably bc I never clean the thing.
I will crack her open and replace the fan.
NOTE: I've tried cleaning with a steam cleaner and the usual heat. Neither is really effective at removing the baked on grease. Oven cleaner is a NO NO on these air fryer toasters.
Next option is a baking soda blaster, which I think will work great...just messy so I will need to do it in gravel or lawn.

Compared to the Cuisinart basic oven air fryer toaster oven that I went through 1 every year as the dials stopped working (returned and replaced two at Kohls), the Kalorik has been much better.

In for 3! Thanks, OP!
2 for the basement for wing night with the boys.
1 for the apartment for my son (heading to college). 22qt is a nice size IMO. I bought the MAXX 16qt for my other son, and it is too small. We have the MAXX 26qt at home.
Fingers-crossed that this model is not a dud.

Does anyone know what is so great about a $400 air fryer like the one below?

Is its heating surface made of whole metal, or of Teflon?

Keep seeing air fryers here but negative or critical comments about the brands/units. Any airfryer brands or models considered best in class or great value? I keep seeing Ninja, Instant Pot, Cuisinart, Cosori on lists but they are always affiliated links, which immediately makes me question how much is 'pay to play' by those brands (as someone who works in marketing and knows how reviews can be bought)
