Quality/longevity, stretchiness, softness. I have tried to find cheaper alternatives that I like as well, and will continue to do so. So far...nothing else compares imo.

I would like solicited advice on why this shirt is worth 30 bucks.

I have tons of lululemon clothing, too much according to my wife, and most likely more than you. This seems like a warm deal at best. It's not really a work out shirt, more of a casual shirt. You can do better for a casual shirt, especially at this price.

How is nylon *not* going to pill up? I get 32 degrees comfort tees for $6 a pop and they're comfy, but the downside is they're "nipply" and "hair follicley" and eventually pill up as I'm sure similar shirts are too

Materials: Body: 40% Pima cotton, 37% Nylon, 13% Lyocell, 10% Lycra® elastane

Try the 32 degrees brand shirts. I got 6 for this price, and they are top tier quality.

These https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/t/17305927

That was an actual Slickdeal. These Lululemon are not. You're welcome.
Sorry, but no they're not top tier quality. I used to buy them exclusively but nearly every one I've had started pilling in under a year, sometimes after just a few months.

I've recently started getting more expensive brands and there's simply no comparison in quality to 32 degrees. Now are the more expensive ones worth it when you can six of 32D for one more upscale shirt? Totally debatable.

Slickdeals people thinking $30 for a shirt is ridiculously expensive is just hilarious.

Hilarious? People come here looking for good deals, not to follow fads.

Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean you have to feel threatened by it. I don't buy tools but I'm not here posting on every tool thread. Quit gate keeping those who like high quality clothing or are into fashionable brands. It's not a good look.

And this is a good deal. You might think higher quality activewear isn't worth the money and that's fine, but it doesn't make this any less of a good deal for those who do.

If having a specific brand label on your clothes is worth paying an extra $15 compared to an equal quality item without that brand name. That's fine, go for it, I have no desire to stop you.

My response was in response to the "Hillarious People don't think this is a good deal". It's not hillarious, for people who go by quality of the actual clothing as opposed to some trendy brand name, it's not a good deal. If having a specific brand name means something to you... go for it.

I would be more than happy to pay half as much for an equal quality shirt. Why don't you mention what shirt you are talking about?

Again, for people who like this brand, it is a good deal. You're the one who's coming across as passive aggressive with comments like, "for people who go by quality of clothing as opposed to some trendy brand name". As someone else alluded to, just because I might think it's a waste of money to spend $4k on a TV, I'm not going to spend my time lurking in those SD threads just waiting to say AXCCTUALLLY....

For the record I don't even particularly like the brand. My wife bought me some about a year ago and the quality of the materials was a significant improvement over what I had been wearing, but I couldn't stomach the price. Since then I've found a number of other brands I like as much or better at a much better price point, but that doesn't mean this isn't a good deal for others.

I have these and went from being skeptical to becoming a huge fan. They're soft, thick and incredibly comfortable.

It is a premium product. I haven't seen another brand offer a cheaper but equally good alternative.

Are you sure they're genuine? I've had mine for a year now, and no piling despite putting them through some abuse at gym, etc.
I would not buy them on Amazon or eBay due to authenticity concerns, for example.

Anyone with the genes to be on the smellier side when sweating will appreciate the benefit of Lululemon's anti-odor treated products. 2xu used to treat with polygiene and they were the best but they don't have many options and nothing casual. Arc'teryx has some. Recent Uniqlo stuff has been better so I have their seamless boxers. Never found a decent 32 Degrees option.

If you don't smell you should still see the value in someone buying these so you don't have to smell them.
