Well, I'm actually a former chef and my standards can be pretty high when eating out. I had a $10 burger/fry/drink meal at BW3 last week and was pretty impressed. No low quality ingredients detected. Overhead on a burger meal is usually around $4-5 using beef chuck, a half potato for fries, and a drink + wait staff pay. They can make money easily with good ingredients at $10.
As these chains offer deep discounts to compete with fast food, I've noticed the discounted items have dropped off in quality as well, so I have a feeling that they're sourcing inferior quality food in a cost cutting effort to compensate for discounts. I used to be able to get a somewhat decent tasting burger at Applebee's or Fridays before (for a chain), but ever since they introduced their value pricing, the taste has gone down the drain, and meals unenjoyable. It's the old moniker of "you get what you pay for." I've sworn off burgers at many chains as I'd rather pay more for better sourced food. I'm not chain bashing as I like the occasional meal at a chain restaurant, but just wanted to share that I've noticed quite a drop in the quality of food at some of them of late, which drives me more to independently owned non-chain eateries.
i thought they also fired their chicken in tallow as well no?
They do (did?). Although home made air fryer wings are a great surrogate for value, the tallow-fried in-restaurant version definitely needs a quarterly reminder about how good they are.
(Costco's refrigerated wings are a ridiculous value, particularly since you can buy BW3 sauces)

Cheapest burger is $13 at BWW near me, so $6.50 each plus 12% tax is NOT A DEAL!
Have you tried one of these burgers? They are amazingly good really, much better than I expected going in. And it does include fries, or chips and salsa, or potato wedges (slight up charge for wedges as I recall) or whatever the other side options are. Burger is a good size too, my wife cannot finish one and she usually orders them just plain too.
Honestly for even $15 tax and all it is a solid deal for two burgers and two fries or whatever you choose. That's 7.50 a person, for a far better burger than most fast food. I'll take advantage of this deal personally!
For me, 15.00 at Buffalo Wild Wings Vs, 15.00 at In N' Out, I can get 3 double hamburgers at In N' Out, or get 2 and fries.
If only us rednecks in the South could be so lucky. I went to an In N' Out in Vegas in 2022 and have always wanted to try one. WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! The freshest lettuce and tomatoes I have ever seen on a fast food hamburger.
