I purchased 2 when they were $99, and although locked for 1 year they've been working flawlessly for several months now on Tello using MKSD Ultra V5.6
For those having trouble porting in from TracFone, Straight Talk, or Total Wireless, here are the steps you need to take at the porting part. This is based on my experience. I have successfully completed port-ins from these sites after working out this guide. The guide below is taken from Total Wireless port into Metro. It should be the same for Straight Talk and other TracFone subsidiaries including TracFone.

Port Info Needed:
Most can be found here
https://www.totalwireless.com .. my-account.. manage-lines
Line: Phone number
Account: Phone IMEI (Text Four to 611611 to confirm)
Zip code: Your zip code
PIN: Text NTP to 611611 to generate your PIN.

----------------------
At the Porting part.
1. Enter the port info.
2. Metro contacts Total Wireless. (See picture 1)
3. Metro throws an error even if you entered everything correctly. (See picture 2)
4. The error is because Total Wireless is contacting the line owner to warn them about the port. (See picture 3)
5. Click on Correct errors.
6. Re-enter everything again and make sure everything is correct.
7. Metro throws another error. The same one as seen in Picture 2.
8. This is a bug on Metro site.
9. Click on the X at the top right to close that error message.
10. Metro proceeds to completing the order.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Once you clicked on submitting the order to Metro, your Total/ST/Tracfone line is immediately inactivated on their respective site, not allowing you to port that line any further even if Metro denied your order asking you to contact them or go to their store for completing the order. In order words, you cannot reverse the porting at Total/ST/Tracfone. I spent 2 hours with Total and it was going nowhere.

Was anyone able to buy the phone online? The website says that I have to purchase at a store now.
Metro has limits on multiple online orders, you can either try placing an order using your mobile data in your phones browser or wait a week or two.

It needs to be purchased in-store and ID verified?
ID verified for metro online is answering a few multiple choice questions related to your identity, they use a 3rd party background service. questions like "what state does PERSON RELATED TO YOU live in?", "which of these companies did you work for?" etc.

They need to verify the name you are using for the order is actually you, since people abuse these deals using random names.

In person you don't get asked these questions because you can just present ID.

Has anyone successfully used visible port with _this_ promo? I know it has worked in the past but this promo's terms seem to suggest it's no longer accepted.
Just used it successfully.

yup, same here and ordered around 7am CA time. That said, I would check back often as these phones seem to always go in/out of stock.

Should be temporary. With Apple no longer selling iPhones with lightening ports in EU, the US (and the rest of the world) will be flooded with 13, 14 and SE3.

According to some reddit postings, Metro stores have started selling 14's for $99.99. Probably will be available online soon.

Will visible allow you to port out a brand new number or is there a waiting period?

Damn, went to go eat dinner and came back and it appears to be not available online anymore and in-store only.

Do these come back online periodically or is in in-store only from here on out at the $49.99 price?
