I purchased 2 when they were $99, and although locked for 1 year they've been working flawlessly for several months now on Tello using MKSD Ultra V5.6

For those having trouble porting in from TracFone, Straight Talk, or Total Wireless, here are the steps you need to take at the porting part. This is based on my experience. I have successfully completed port-ins from these sites after working out this guide. The guide below is taken from Total Wireless port into Metro. It should be the same for Straight Talk and other TracFone subsidiaries including TracFone.

Port Info Needed:
Most can be found here
https://www.totalwireless.com .. my-account.. manage-lines
Line: Phone number
Account: Phone IMEI (Text Four to 611611 to confirm)
Zip code: Your zip code
PIN: Text NTP to 611611 to generate your PIN.

----------------------
At the Porting part.
1. Enter the port info.
2. Metro contacts Total Wireless. (See picture 1)
3. Metro throws an error even if you entered everything correctly. (See picture 2)
4. The error is because Total Wireless is contacting the line owner to warn them about the port. (See picture 3)
5. Click on Correct errors.
6. Re-enter everything again and make sure everything is correct.
7. Metro throws another error. The same one as seen in Picture 2.
8. This is a bug on Metro site.
9. Click on the X at the top right to close that error message.
10. Metro proceeds to completing the order.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Once you clicked on submitting the order to Metro, your Total/ST/Tracfone line is immediately inactivated on their respective site, not allowing you to port that line any further even if Metro denied your order asking you to contact them or go to their store for completing the order. In order words, you cannot reverse the porting at Total/ST/Tracfone. I spent 2 hours with Total and it was going nowhere.

Note sure if that's true. As I mentioned earlier, last night I "successfully" placed a third order, but I received a cancellation email a few minutes later and my credit charge was also reversed. Wish the 12 is in stock - I have zero interest in a 14 (maybe when it drops to $0 later this year).

I wonder if porting out one of the two lines works Smilie Will try that if another attempt fails.
If you port out you lose the $35 discount plan price

I was able to successfully place an order, however I am wondering if it was worth it seeing as the device is locked for 365 days and no sim card slot. I am seeing people saying they were able to get the $35 plan, is that only on a second line?

After running into issues trying to add a 2nd line with the free iPhone 12 promo back in November, I was finally able to successfully add 2nd lines using the steps outlined in the recent free iPhone 12 thread. After you receive and activate the first iPhone on the account, turn off wifi on the phone and then add the 2nd line while you are logged into your Metro account from the phone. I also used a different first name on the 2nd line and changed the delivery address by adding an 'A' to the delivery address, i.e. 123A Main St. Otherwise, I just used the same credit card and email address as on the 1st line. Doing this worked for me on multiple accounts.

Btw, one of my accounts had already been suspended for not paying the 2nd month of service when I went to add the 2nd line, so I used the one-time 72hr grace period option to reactivate the account and place an order for the 2nd line on the account. By the time I received the new iPhone, the 72hr grace period had expired so I thought I wasn't going to be able to activate the new phone. However, fortunately I got a very helpful Metro phone rep who, after a little convincing, was able to temporarily reactivate the account in order to activate the new phone and start the 365 day unlock countdown, even though I had already used my one-time grace period which she could see in her system.

I have no intention of continuing the Metro service and paying anything else beyond the initial amount I paid for the phones, but she also changed my plan on the account from the $75 first-line / $35 second-line plan, to a different one at $30 per line without charging their $50 fee for downgrading the plan in the first 6 months. I was able to verify this change went through without the change fee being charged by viewing my online bill. Since I'm allowing the account to cancel anyway, this is just a good data point if anyone else can benefit from it. Out of several calls to Metro, due to all their ordering issues, over the course of ordering a total of six iPhone 12/13's during the past 2 months, this was by far the only positive one.
The first name you changed to - is that valid? I mean like it's a real person in your household?

You have 2 options: 1) Trade-in, most of people opted out for this route. Depends on carrier, normally from $350 to $600; 2) MKSD Ultra V5.7, bypass Locked. But, it is hit or miss. Need trial and error to make it work. search Ebay comments.

Any Xfinity mobile users-
I'd like to pour into Metro for this deal and Port back to Xfinity mobile the same day. Any fees on Xfinity mobile side for this? Will I lose all my voicemail recordings with Xfinity mobile? Anything else I should know?

Yes, you will lose all your voicemail etc. FYI: Xfinity has new policy of charging $25 activation fee.

Just noticed Metro changed term for this deal: "You can get deals on up to 4 lines". It is very tempting to add 3rd line:-)

I just called Xfinity mobile they have an offer they're giving a free Samsung phone I forget what model if you port in so I think that's worth paying the $25 fee if I get a free Samsung phone that retails for $400. Unfortunately the free Samsung phone is locked to your Xfinity Mobile account for 2 years. the agent I was talking to from the xm mobile Department said I could talk to Xfinity mobile repair department and request they keep my voicemails for me if I request before reporting out. the free Samsung phone promotion ends on the 21st of this month so it will be remained to be seen if I can get these iPhones sent to me quick enough to activate and then Port back into Xfinity mobile before then. new Xfinity Mobile promotions should appear tonight at midnight maybe they'll be a gift card or better promotion appearing hopefully since I'm not happy about getting a phone that's locked for 2 years. Xfinity Mobile also has port in two unlimited numbers get one for free for a year some here may be interested in. I myself am currently on aolder 4th Gen Xfinity Mobile account so I can't take advantage of the two for one offer

I was able to order my second iphone 13 when it came back into stock today. Same address/CC.
Does anyone know if they are still blocking orders after 2?

With the IPhone 12 promo, getting more than 2 was very difficult.

Really? I tried difference computer without login to my account, the term is same. "Here's how it works: Sales tax applies. You'll need email & ID (to verify your name & address) to sign up. Heads up—if you want to move to a less expensive rate plan during the next 6 months after getting this deal, you'll need to pay $50 to change plans. Qualifying port-in required. An activation charge of $25 may apply in-store. You can get deals on up to 4 lines. This is a limited-time offer and, like everything else in this crazy world, is subject to change." I recalled it used to be 2 lines.
