What does it mean when you are trying to port out from visible and it says number can't be transferred
In my case first I tried my port number and gave error message and then after I tried it a second time I got your cant transfer message means you have to call the port Department to cancel the transfer and then wait 24 hours before trying again. If you get that message on your first attempt then I don't know the reason perhaps could be a multitude of reasons. 1800 518 7519 is Metro Port Department

I guess I'll try shipping my extra lines to different address as was suggested here. When putting in personal information contact phone number can I use the phone number that I'm porting in as the contact number?

Bought a freedompop sim card as others mentioned, eligible for porting but got canceled after 5 minutes waiting at the porting number screen, they said cannot port in freedompop number at the moment despite giving them the account number and PIN. Now get stuck on a error page when try to start over.
I encountered the same issue. Did you find a solution?

Not the answer to you question, but can you tell me if you had to pay another $5 to activate the FreedomPop sim card ($5 at Target)?

No. FP does not charge the activation fee. Don't try this route as I tried to port-in twice, both timed out and failed.

That wasn't cancellation. Metro suspected fraud and stopped you completing the order. You can't try again until the port-in process is cancelled (usually automatically within a few hours but you can call for manual cancellation). If you call, the rep may tell you to wait 4 hours before trying again. Some reps may tell you to wait for 24 hours. Maybe they purge some data collected overnight?

Whatever you try, they need to be able to verify your identity. I think they use the name and shipping address.

Is there a limit of three? I have two ordered already with two new accounts shipped to my address. Would I increase my chances of having my secondary lines shipped to new address?

Metro has certainly made it much harder to go beyond 2nd/3rd order this time. There was one person who reported their 4th successful order, but their 1st order was long before the new promos started 10 days ago.

If anyone found new tricks, please post them here. Otherwise we'll just have to try every day or every other day until the due date.

I concur with canex. I tried to port a FreedomPop number I have for about 8 months, but it kept timing out and failed. FreedomPop makes it really hard to renew the free account now. You have renew in the app and watch ads before they allow you to renew. I suspect the issue is with FreedomPop and not Metro. I didn't bother to contact FreedomPop about it.

Same issue with me. If you really want to port out, contact FreedomPop, keep screenshot, and if porting failed again, contact FCC. I suspect FreedomPop prevents users from porting out.

Also, make sure your line is freshly renewed at FreedomPop before requesting PIN and porting out.

Was able to get the 4th to ship but that seems to be the hard limit.
