The ego Z6 mower label has November 2021 date. These units were probably sitting 3+ years outside. The display still had the sticker on it. The Seat had slight wet stinky smell, and mower had rusty blade edges. Deck and body held up well, minor fading. The crated units probably better condition but the 10ah batteries depleted that long in cold weather degraded their capacity. eGo manual states they should be recharged once every 6 months during long term storage.
It's been almost 1 year since I retrofitted a Chins 100ah 48V BMS Lithium Iron Phosphate battery into my 6 year old Ryobi RM480e, and it's been running beautifully. Even though I like eGo electric yard equipment, it doesn't make sense to use their older chemistry Lithium ion. LiFePo batteries are superior in longevity and temperature cycles. My Ryobi retrofit mower uses around %15 of the 100ah battery per 0.5 acre lawn cut. The eGo Z6 with 4x10ah batteries says mowing capacity up to 2 acres which most reviewers say they cannot get on 1 charge. LiFePo has 2x-3x the longevity of regular Lithium ion.

There was a time post COVID where demand was high and that required waiting. But I'm not sure what there is to complain about the process otherwise.
