Just picked up my batteries (they wouldn't ship those), all were brand new in box with a March 2022 stamp and all are taking a charge well. All even had one bar on their indicator! So far so good.

Just got one delivered. Seat was weathered and almost dry rotted, rust all over, battery latch broken, sent the wrong batteries, and the kicker, half of the mower wouldn't even move. Only one handle worked. Had to get the store to take it back. Crazy they sent it out that way.

Oof lithium cells that have been sitting for 3 years. I wonder how much this has shortened their lifespan

Guys, why worry about the warranty, EGO will have to honor it unless it is written on the sale receipt (that customer should be aware of before purchase). The Magmuson and moss warranty act of 1975 will protect us no matter what. Don't waste time to call EGO CS for this matter.

I took delivery today. The body of the mower looks pretty good. No rust around where the handles attaches to like the ones that sat outside. Batteries have a manufactured date of October 2021. I started it and rode a rode a little, display showed 52% power. This was without charging the batteries

Received a call from EGO today - they are going to honor my warranty claim and send 4 new batteries. So I'm obviously really pleased with this outcome. Really didn't want to have to deal with returning it.

Back in stock. Bought for $1999 will be delivered Monday!

Went ahead and got the Lowes 3-yr warranty, just in case. Once this arrives, I'll have to put it together since I don't have a trailer to bring it home from Lowes. Fingers crossed! I just reclaimed my summer weekends!

Edit: hmm, there is one locally for pickup today...I'm leaning towards keeping the online one in hopes that a new, crated one shows up instead of one that's been sitting outside...

Went with the in-store pickup for today! $279 for the Lowe's 3-yr warranty, so I have peace of mind. Now to figure out how to get it home...

This will pay for itself in one summer (commercial company cutting now).

Edit: damn, y'all got me nervous now. So the Lowes 3-yr warranty doesn't cover anything battery related? Lol if that's the case and my batteries are fried, I'll cancel that right in the store when I go to pick up.

Were any of your batteries working or were they all bad? Mine seem okay right now but I am worried about it

None of my batteries worked at all. When I initially submitted my warranty claim, I had to send a video showing me pressing the power buttons on each battery for 5 seconds to show they were not working.

Lowes is clearly advertising 5 year warranty with this sale. If Ego is denying defective battery replacement, then follow with Lowes and have them deal with Ego. Also, ask Lowes for inconvenience compensation for delivering bad batteries.
