Right now it's covered with a mower cover from Amazon. I'd like something more permanent. Especially if the batteries are going to be in it.
But, so much discussion about price and availability, hardly any comments on the actual product.
I usually pay $350/yr per season for lawn mowing and they also occasionally clean the flower beds and trim the trees with some extra money.
So if I spend 2000K on this which means I can recover the money in approximately 5 years with inflation adjustment.
Will this machine even last 5 years to get my money to even out and more than five years to see the real value of it?
Does it do a decent job of lawn mowing that can replace humans?
Anyone who really used this can chime in.
It wasn't until later that I noticed that, instead of 4x 10AH, they'd loaded it with 2x10, 2x7.5 and 2x6. Didn't think it worth making a fuss so I just called Ego to make sure they'd still be covered under warrany and they confirmed.
Gave it a full charge but we are still dealing with the lingering snow so I can't really give it much of a test drive.

I also ran over some buried shade cloth and made the mistake of starting up the motors again. That caused even more of a tangle.
Because of that, I had to then learn how to remove the cutting assembly, which was really easy. ( https://youtu.be/4mIOykDr0Fo ) This video explained how.
Overall a great first experience. Put about 2 hours on it and like you saved the money we collectively pay a tractor guy to disc the yard. I'll probably mow at least once more before spring is in full swing. The best part is there won't be weeds going to seed and re-seeding everywhere. Last year the weeds got up to 6-10 feet on some places. My weed wacker just isn't enough for that kind of growth, so this thing has already saved me so much time. Money well spent I think.
Oh also my first pass I did with the blade as high as it goes. I plan to go back through it this weekend now that it's had time to dry out, and I'll knock it down even lower.
