Why would you thumb down a deal that clearly says YMMV? Such behavior discourages others from posting items that may be available for some and not for others. Unless of course, you feel $1,999 isn't a good price for a $5,499 item, for those that can find it.

Bought 5 of them for my business all 5 broken with 6 months and no repair shop local that works on them which a waste of money I ended up buying Toro z turn replacements that have good customer service

It's slick cause of the price compared to what it normally sells for, not because of how it compares in your mind to another product

It's because it's not good for cells to sit at a full charge for long.

Lowe's is notorious about canceling orders. Luckily I got mine today too, aside from battery age (2021) condition was great. One of the batteries is flashing red and one won't light up, other two charged up good. Hopefully warranty will resolve the two bad ones so I'll be good to go for mowing season.
How do you know the battery age?

has anyone received a new mower? taking a mower that's been sitting outside for 2years isn't slick without new batteries is insane. I'm on the fence on if its a deal even if brand new.

Big investment and it is not gonna be easy to flip nationwide as shipping will kill it. can only flip in a local area and after 3-4 months it will lose value very fast.

I bought mine to use at least I hope so when I get it if it shows up in good shape. That being said why would it lose a lot of value in three or four months as long as it's stored indoors? If nothing else in a couple months it should be worth more because nobody's shopping for mowers right now.

Just picked one up for $965.25 after military discount. It was marked down to $1399 due to missing batteries. Got them to drop it down to $999 by asking nicely. They found one battery when getting the charger and gave it to me without a fuss.
Now for the other 3 batteries you can get them for about 900 dollars to make this mower cost more than the discount price

Not a big investment, it's only 4k-10k. flipping is easy, if you buy five, you'll only need 5/100k of people to buy. It won't lose value in 3-4 months, unless you live where in an extremely cold climate. Most places still cut grass up to Oct. That means you can sell them until july-August. Jan- August is around 6 mo. and they should be easy to sell. The cheapest ICE lawnmowers sell for around 3k. These will be easy to sell. As far as local areas are concerned, 100 mile radius is nothing to sneeze at.

More like $600. Hell, I've seen 4x 12ah for $1k on marketplace.

Do you still get the warranty on the batteries from marketplace? One of my 5ah ego batteries died only after a year.

Mine was in a crate in a covered area. It depends on your lowes!!

So the mower I bought 2 weeks ago wouldn't turn on (they tested "my" batteries on another unit and confirmed that they're good), so they put a hold on today's delivery. I'm not going to say what happened afterwards, but I think I might be the single biggest winner of this deal. I'll have an update next weekend.
