Has anyone who is using this service had issues with wifi calling not working? I could never get wifi calling to work on Red Pocket, but had no issues with Mint (same device, same rom). Red Pocket's support was epic grade useless, so I was never able to make any headway there. I am curious if this provider's systems play nice with wifi calling.

HNY Desi. Yes, that's good to avoid for our primary numbers.

The fear of this company going under, since they're about a year in business. My Mum has had decent service, started in April. We'll probably go to a different service for her, as there has been the odd issue here and there, at least twice she couldn't make calls for 2 or 3 days, they're saying she was not paid up on service when we prepaid a year, but that last happened more than 4 months ago..

Yes, Verizon is an option, but you can also choose T-Mobile.

They've had this or a similar deal running for the last 9-10 months. Check back in a month and a half. There's always another deal around the corner, so I truly wouldn't be worried.

You think this phone would work with the Verizon card? Trying to find cheap option for my 82yo dad
No, I don't think it would, plus that's not too cheap. Get a TracFone or Total wireless port in option for a month, then switch over to this on Verizon. Make sure to request the unlock before leaving the first carrier.

I had the 10GB version, I remember it was slow to a crawl.
Probably only 64kbps, like most. The ones that are sufferable are US Mobile (1 Mbps), MobileX(512 kbps), and Hello(256 kbps).

Mint's "unlimited" plan is actually limited to 40 GB of 5G/4G before dropping down to slower speeds. I'm not sure how slow the slower speeds are though.

Wifi calling with Red Pocket At&t has worked since day one, 4 years ago. In fact even more - it is recognized as an At&t service and works with my At&t cell booster, and before with the microcell...

Thanks -- and I assume I can just do this via eSIM once I get the activation code that comes in the packet? I have an iPhone, no sim slot.
I did that last month remotely for my iPhone 13 being used by a relative.

It was easy to port in a new number and activate the e-sim with the IMEI from my computer.

It did take an hour or two for the service to spin up, but the relative was in the middle of rural WI, so maybe that had an impact. Once they got to WIFI everything sorted itself out.
