The middle one (X Plus w/1TB and bundled keyboard and pen) seem like the best deal if this is what you're looking for. The X Elite is the only one with OLED, but no keyboard...too bad.

If you want a Surface I'd just wait, they've had new ones for these prices in the past (https://slickdeals.net/f/17891346-microsoft-surface-pro-11th-gen-13-2-in-1-laptop-snapdragon-x-plus-16gb-ram-512gb-ssd-wi-fi-7-w-free-in-store-pickup-micro-center-799?attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3ATrue&src=SiteSearchV2Algo1). The middle one with the keyboard is probably the best deal bc the 1TB ssd, though don't expect the fancy Flex Keyboard, it's one of the cheaper ones.

This. This isn't a good deal and prices will only drop. I'm looking to buy one for <$500.

I price matched this at Best Buy and then bought an Open Box 'Excellent' condition Keyboard + Pen combo for 179. $1058 + tax. I have the total tech gimmick so that is inclusive of a warranty on the device + keyboard and pen. Not too shabby Smilie Thanks for posting this @dougpaw57.

Is the X Elite better than the X Plus in battery or performance or both ?

independently I mean (battery vs performance )... since better performance AND better battery at the SAME time won't be possible on X Elite vs X Plus , or would it ?

Likely the same battery. The X Elite has a couple more cores, so its slightly faster. And while those cores consume more power, they'll also get work done quicker and be off most of the time. I'm sure if youre running all the cores at max capacity battery life would be reduced, but typically that's not how people use their machine.

The X elite model has an OLED screen. Probably makes more sense to care about that than the CPU
