IMHO, Canada air is one of the worst, I bought their flight from San Francisco → Vancouver → Tokyo, due to operations delay, we didn't catch the flight to Tokyo. what Canada air did was asking all the passengers transferring flights to Tokyo to stay in Vancouver for one night, and take a 1-stop route(Korea first. then Japan) instead of arranging us to take the original non-stop flight to Japan, and they felt nothing wrong about it. I will never fly with them again.

That's a really lone time to be in an economy seat, even if it's a great price. I'd go back to Hong Kong.

Pet peeve. I had someone tell me they wanted the cheapest ticket to "Florida", I found them a cheap fare... to Jacksonville. They wanted to know how far that was to Miami. I said I no longer wish to be your friend.

It's closer/faster to Manhattan than JFK so it's a NY metro airport.
