Once it gets to $15 and below then it may be a slick deal but right now it's just Meh.

You aren't at the whims of the online service going out of business or offline and losing your data. You can save all your tax returns to pdf files and print them out.
H&R Block and TurboTax charge more for state efile on top of your purchase price of the product.
Make the switch if you haven't already
First year I actually called H&R Block to ask and they walked me thru it. It's just using 2 codes, was super easy.

H&R Block and Intuit (along w the mega rich having lobbyists angle for niche carve out that literally only benefit them) are the main reasons thing are so screwed up. The fact that we're still filing in the nearly identical way as was done 50+ years ago is bonkers. No other first world nation, aside from our hat/Canada does things this way.
...and if the IRS is going to get Billion$$$$ of dollars for upgrades, agents, etc...you think that they could throw a few billion into a standardized software to allow a larger majority to just file for free...
But the H&R Block/TaxCut/TurboTax, etc... lobbyists who pay off our Congressional critters, with campaign donations, will ensure that never happens and they stay in business.
The same goes for our overall tax laws. The laws will never change to make it easier, otherwise, there will no longer be the need for a LOT of Tax Attorney's in this country. That self-licking ice cream industry will make sure tax laws stay difficult to do...to keep themselves in business. Oh, and half the congress critters are lawyers anyway! They will protect their breed.
