Just got mine yesterday. So far I'm very pleased with it.
Very quiet fans (if they turn on at all).
It runs SolidWorks 2024 and Fusion 360 like a champ.
Definitely a fingerprint magnet, I might get a vinyl wrap.
The screen is slightly curved in, but it works just fine.
Keyboard back light is very dim and light bleed is very bright, not a great design.

Screen is excellent. Set to 150% scale, text is very sharp. I have no idea what blurry text people are talking about.

I received 3 months of Game Pass Ultimate even though they advertise only 1 month.

I received mine. The top lid where you open the laptop has a small gap between the lid and the keyboard deck. Seems like the top lid is bowed out which is causing the gap. Anyone notice the same? Contemplating if I should exchange it but don't want to waste my time if all of them are like this.
It's documented in the review video on first page

Wow amazing. This is why if it is open box, I want to do it in store pick up. Last time I did open box excellent, I was shocked that there was no charger.
I've learned that people buy open box computers and steal the chargers and windows copies and then return the open box.

Their warranty service used to suck real bad. You could almost say it was predatory. They claimed they fixed it after they got called out by GamersNexus, though. They did an interview with the Asus customer service executives promising to do better and uploaded it as well.

Might still suck though, I haven't checked

Without going to their wiki, their discord page has several warnings about some unknown issue that is happening sporadically after about a year of use. This is my biggest concern. I don't want to spend money on a laptop and have it not work after a year

My favorite part about having moved to MacBooks after the M1 release in 2020 is never having to worry about that kind of stuff.

I've only ever had a MacBook but since I didn't have anything Apple anymore I thought it was time to go with Windows.

I have the same issue on an open box excellent model. Really annoyed about this and besides that the laptop seems stellar (I have it docked). Considering returning just because of that and the ram since it isn't upgradeable

You mean your favorite part about moving to MacBooks wasn't spending twice as much as Windows laptops (and getting less)? Of all the things I worry about, whether my laptop is going to work in a year definitely isn't one of them.

I read that Apple is pushing the first OLED screen on a MacBook (Air) to 2029. laugh out loud Yet Windows laptops well under $1K have 3K 120Hz OLED screens. But don't worry about it. Wink

Then you shouldn't have bought a laptop with a Ultra Series 2 CPU because that CPU has the RAM on the chip (similar to a MacBook). Most other modern laptops also have VERY HIGH SPEED RAM soldered to the board. There are a few that still have sockets, though. You didn't already know that when you bought it?

No I didn't, thanks for the info. I know about soldered ram but not ram on a chip, interesting

226V (this one) and 256V CPU is 16GB RAM and the 228V/258V are 32GB (and rarely on sale).
