Not too great of a deal. I got my S24 Ultra 512GB with no trade in for $751 including taxes about 5 months ago.

Returned both 16 pro max phones. Battery life was horrible. Back to galaxy.

My partner with the new iPhone 16 pro max is constantly asking to use my S24 Ultra camera 😅

I have this phone when it came out. I traded in S22 Ultra and have been happy so far. I might get the S25 Ultra and will trade in my S23 Ultra. I like the flat screen specifically. This would be an ok deal if it has 512gb or 1tb storage.

I've previously only bought discounted phones through my carrier. Is it better to buy unlocked, or does it not matter?

It's almost always better to buy an unlocked phone and then go with a carrier like Mint, Visible, or Total.

unlocked phones is for people that travel around the world which require switching sims from different carriers worldwide. Also for people who use prepaid service and people who likes to switch carier often. If you are under contract and dont like to change carriers, locked phones from your carrier would be cheaper.

This may not be a bad deal with the current 10% cb on Samsung products

You don't have to trade in anything to get a similar price, which means if you sold your used phone elsewhere, you can bring it even lower.

I got this the last time it went around and was able to bring it down to around $500 stacking a bunch of things at the time. I bought it primarily to play with as I've been a long time iOS user who has never really liked Android. To be honest, if I wasn't so heavily invested in the iOS ecosystem, I'd probably rock the S24U as a daily driver over my 15 pro max.

$500 after trade is a decent price... but my s22u still works great. i cant believe it will soon be 3 years with the phone. this is the longest i've ever had a phone before. i'm typically itching to get a new phone every 2 years if not sooner but the s22u still works very well for me. can't justify the expense for a 24 or 25 model.
In the exact same boat, my S22 Ultra is working great and I love it! No real reason to pay $500 for likely the same experience.

Their flagships STILL have 12GB of RAM? My Note 10 has that. Best I'm seeing is $799.99. Most I'll spend on this is $530.
