I worked for UPS and these were the bane of my existance. Had to wheel one 500 ft uphill on a gravel driveway. One of those with stone that doesn't pack down cause they bought the wrong type of crushed stone. That was probably my worst delivery ever. And then i got up to the house, and there was one already there. Some other poor driver had to do the same thing.

the hood for these aren't to cover food ..they're for storage... restaurant grills aren't outdoors in the elements... did you really just try to make that comparison

any comparison to the one costco sells for $399? item # 1713585 . What does less BTUs matter? i know its about the heat, but will the 38,000 BTU still be a good product?

If this is the omnivore then overall it appears that it's the same griddle.
Costco provides more accessories
Lid-100$ ơn Amazon
Cover-20$+
Couple of magnetic shelfs/hooks for the front

Depends on what you want or can save on not having....dependent on if this is in fact the omnivore model so we shall see

Based on the reviews I read on the one with 38,000 btu it's because they made changes that made it more efficient. The lower BTU uses less propane but because of changes to the griddle including the side air deflectors its comparable in performance.

Cast iron takes and holds heat really well so once it is up to temp its more a maintenance of temperature issue. So really it might be a speed to temp thing. It's different than a grill where the open flame BTU helps get a good sear on meats and stuff.

Good deal but you'll definitely want a hood which can be bought separately for $100 so keep that in mind.

Is the hood a hard cover like on the blackstone site, or hinged lid? I can find the hard cover for $100, but not a hinged lid. Thank you.
On sale for $90, after clipping 10% coupon on page. https://www.amazon.com/Blackstone...LM34B?th=1

Any thoughts on this?

https://www.samsclub.com/p/member..._product_9

as an entry into the griddle arena? I have a pellet grill, propane grill, and Akorn Jr. so I do a lot of grilling and bbq.

For two people this size seems about right.

Thanks.

It says no returns on this particular item because it "pumps fuel."

Good deal for sure. This is about what I paid for mine with a hood about 3 years ago. I also bought the natural gas conversion kit so that I don't have to buy propane anymore and it's so worth it!

The only thing I would change is making it three times bigger... and live someplace warm in the winter so I could cook with it outdoors all year long.
35° here, but that didn't stop me from trying a hibachi chicken recipe last week. 😋

Came out great!

It probably helps that I also have a covered patio.

I'm deciding on getting this or the one from Sam's Club that's $250. I really want a griddle for the backyard.
