I bought this from a game store a few months back because my 8 yo really wanted it. We've played it a few times, and it's the only board game he's eager to play. The rules are a bit confusing, it helps to watch some gameplay videos on YT. It has a fair amount of competition between players, besides the scoring system that determines the winner. I own a number of the older LEGO games as well, and they all kinda are the same. Fun to play a few times.
