I've got the Irwin version of this, had it for maybe 3 months, so far I've used it for:
1. Lift the front of a zero-turn mower to remove wheels / tires for repair.
2. Lift the front of a washing machine for belt replacement.
3. Lift and hold couches and other furniture for easy cleaning underneath.

Use jack stands before you stick anything squishy under anything heavy.

You can also give them an email address to get $10 off your order over $100. I ordered 2 which brought them down to $75 ea.

I bought two of these before Christmas for this price via Amazon. Great price.

The jacks are really solid and I've already found a bunch of uses for them.

I'm sold but is there a reason to get two instead of one?

So I know this isn't a name brand, but why would I spend $80 on a single dewalt jack when I can get a pair for $38 that has reasonable ratings on Amazon? These have a higher lift capacity as well.

Only 6.8 inch lifting height where the Dewalt has 8.75 inches.

Well there are countless other ones you can get on Amazon that have a larger lifting weight and height capacity.

We're talking $38 for two jacks vs. $80 for one. Is the name brand really worth that much?

It's due to step-to-lift operation and brand name. I guessed.

Careful- I ordered 5 of these, and the delivery guy only brought 4. I asked him about it and he insisted he brought 5, but I had to tell him is a jack-off.

They are handy to have if you do not have reliable help. I used a pair of these last week to temporarily lift up a Powerwall battery from the floor so that I could bolt it to a wall. In a couple of months I am going to upgrade a TV and I'll be using these to lift the TV on my cabinet to hook it to the wall mount.
I've used car jackstands for stuff like that, much cheaper. I really like these but they're so expensive and kind of short. I wish something was affordable in the ~4ft range.

Depends on how expensive the stuff is that you're trusting these to hold. And how much you care about your phalanges.

could it be used to life a water heater? I have replaced many, where I need to lift up the water heater to put in spaces so everythings aligns...such as one of those direct vent water heaters.

I thought the same thing so I bought a pair of $38 jacks on Amazon and they did not work well at all. They could barely lift anything over 100 lbs and the hand-strength required to do so was ridiculous not to mention the hand discomfort due to the skinny handles on the jack digging into my palms. I returned the Amazon jacks and bought the DeWalt and the difference is night and day. Lifting a 200-lb washing machine with the DeWalt was effortless and I didn't even have to use my feet which you are able to do with the DeWalt jacks.

How does Irwin compare to the DeWalt ones? On amazon the Irwin singles are also $80 with 10" 330lb https://a.co/d/bgoJiZK
