I got two JSAUX headphone adapters for my new Galaxy S24+ (one has power input). They both cut out at low volume levels. They seem to work OK if the music ls loud enough. I got an Anker adapter and it provides great sound at any volume, but it's more expensive.

Pro tip- I usually don't care about first party vs third party, but in this case Apple really does make the highest quality (read: audio) for this particular item. And it's cheap enough.

I'm pretty sure the the Apple ones are also made in China.

You should have said "Apple's quality control is better."

My current adapter in my car crapped out, hopefully this one fares better.

This adapter is really nice. I have two of them.

JSAUX makes some quite nice cables.

I've been using one of these daily for about a year now (purchase data says Jan 4, 2024). No problems yet. It stays plugged into my laptop, so there's very little wear and tear, but it works great for both the audio and the microphone on my headset.

Yes, but the max volume will be limited unless you're rooted (in case you're trying to use high impedance headphones, otherwise, it shouldn't matter).

Quality of these dongles varies widely. Many of them are relabeled with the same parts inside, and they're often cheaper from aliexpress. Check ASR reviews.

Hard to pass up at this price. I have the Meizu which is great with music reproduction but this is a good option as backup.

Interesting... I have a Note 4 and my cable ALWAYS just seems to randomly cut out and die and I have to unplug it and plug it back in. I'll have to look into the Anker one.
